ADHD Assessment Service
Mental health services have been increasingly regarded as essential and are now being integrated into primary care physicians’ offices. Primary care physicians need reliable, valid diagnostic tools that are easy to administer and provide a clear explanation of diagnosis, along with an assessment in narrative form that the physician, the patient and their family can easily understand. Over the past ten years, physician consultations for over-activity and attention problems have approximately doubled, and the number of children receiving stimulant treatment increased about 2.5 fold. Attention deficity/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is both the most overdiagnosed and underdiagnosed problem in childhood, highlighting the importance of accurate diagnostic tools. The ADHD Assessment Service is an effective, reliable solution for physicians and families seeking accurate evaluations.
The ADHD Assessment Service will be available online at designated computer terminals in pediatricians’ offices. Patients will be directed to the ADHD Assessment Service Online, and the software will then guide the patients through the evaluation process. Our computerized program is much more efficient and easier to use than paper-based assessment tools.
Computerized results will be available immediately after testing is completed – perfect for retest of medication effects. The reports will be closely examined and interpreted by a mental health professional. A detailed report will be sent to the pediatrician, the client, and any other involved health care professionals to help in the process of diagnosis.
The ADHD Assessment Service will:
